DESAIN APLIKASI MOBILE UNTUK MEMBERIKAN INFORMASI KEPADA SISWA TINGKAT LANJUT DI UGANDA
Pendidikan adalah kunci sukses keberhasilan hidup di dunia. Memberikan informasi
yang diperlukan kepada siswa pada tahap pendidikan yang tepat dapat menentukan
bergunanya masa depan mereka, tidak hanya bagi siswa tetapi juga untuk para pendidik
guna menyederhanakan pekerjaan dan mengurangi tanggung jawab. Sayangnya, cara
yang digunakan untuk memberikan informasi kepada siswa Tingkat Lanjut di Uganda
tidak modern sehingga informasi penting tidak dapat diakses secara memadai oleh
siswa. Oleh sebab itu, kebanyakan siswa akhirnya membuat keputusan yang tidak tepat
dan belajar tanpa fokus. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, sebuah purwarupa aplikasi
mobile dirancang untuk memungkinkan siswa Tingkat Lanjut dalam mengakses
informasi yang diperlukan seperti persyaratan kualifikasi, bahan pelajaran, pilihan
mata pelajaran, dll. Metode berbasis aturan juga disertakan untuk membantu siswa
memilih mata pelajaran yang sesuai dengan pilihan karir yang mereka inginkan.
Evaluasi desain menunjukkan bahwa 95,76% siswa Tingkat Lanjut yang menjadi
peserta setuju dengan purwarupa aplikasi yang dirancang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa
siswa Tingkat Lanjut tertarik menggunakan teknologi aplikasi mobile untuk
mengakses informasi. Penggunaan teknologi aplikasi mobile akan memudahkan siswa
dalam mendapatkan informasi tentang pilihan mata pelajaran, fokus pilihan karir,
bahan ajar, dan lain sebagainya. Hal ini juga akan memudahkan pekerjaan para
pendidik dan menghemat waktu yang terbuang dalam mendampingi siswa secara fisik
untuk menyampaikan semua informasi yang diperlukan
LECTURERS’ STRATEGIES ON STUDENTS' DISCIPLINE IN CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT DURING ONLINE LEARNING
This study aims to provide an overview of the strategies used by two lecturers at the Catholic University of St. Augustine Hippo in their online classroom management, particularly in disciplining students. The trend of online classes on the St. Augustine Hippo Catholic University campus continues even though the pandemic is over. Online lectures are still being held for several meetings, although not in full. In providing online teaching, lecturers have specific strategies to ensure that the teaching and learning process goes well, one of the criteria is student discipline during the process. The method used to obtain data is in-depth interviews. The results of the in-depth interviews of the two lecturers showed that the challenges in online teaching were bad internet connection, students’ inadequate internet quota, and students’ inactiveness. While the strategies that were used by them in dealing with those problems were giving good example, giving firmness, giving attention, being kind, being affective, and being attentive towards students
Designing a conceptual framework of a smart city for sustainable development in Bangladesh
A smart city is a future solution to better management of the city and people. Recent
researches have highlighted the necessity of smart city projects to improve urban lifestyle for the
growing population. Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world.
Despite being a developing country, Bangladesh still lacks a smart city. A smart city framework
is required to ameliorate urban lifestyle. The purpose of this study is to address a conceptual
framework for a smart city project focusing on sustainable development in Bangladesh. The
research approach follows an exhaustive literature review to collect suitable information to
design the new smart city framework. Necessary information to design a smart city framework
such as the core smart city dimensions and the sustainability indictors are identified through the
thorough literature review. From the extracted information a new smart city framework is
developed focusing on sustainable development. The findings of this study offer a clear overview
of the smart city core dimensions and factors that influence sustainability in a smart city. The
research presents a smart city framework that can be followed in a developing country like

A Fuzzy Logic-based Control System for Microwave Ovens
Conventional microwave ovens rely on users for their cooking time. In other words,
the user must set the oven’s cooking time manually. This paper aims to design a fuzzy logicbased
controller to resolve the above-mentioned issue by determining the cooking time of the
microwave oven automatically. The time determined depends on the quantity and type of food.
During the fuzzy logic process, we used the Mamdani fuzzy model. This model involves
determining the crisp input, fuzzification, rule evaluation, and defuzzification, to obtain the
crisp output result. Input real variables used were the type of food and quantity of food,
whereas the output variable used was cooking time. A fuzzy logic toolbox on MATLAB
software was used to design and simulate the whole system. Considering the IF-THEN rules and functions, we used the value of food as 50, and the type of food as 50 and we obtained the cooking time as 25 minutes. The result showed that Fuzzy models are good at determining
cooking time in Microwave ovens and that their cooking time depends on the inputs. Using
fuzzy logic in microwave ovens helps to maintain food quality, saves users’ time, and controls
the energy used by the ove
